Default C8 Brake pad question

Hi Tadge.

The following is from a Chevrolet Salesman who attended Spring Mountain. He claims this is what he was told:

The brake system on the C8 does a great job. One thing I noticed when braking hard from 100+mph is the "lack" of nose dive vs a C7. As I mentioned, we were told with the new Brake system, you will have to use OEM pads and rotors, as the system monitors brake fade and heat, and will put the vehicle in a cool down mode if they get too hot. If you happen to replace the pads with aftermarket units, you will most likely put the vehicle into a safe mode that will limit the vehicle to 50mph.
Here is the link to the original thread.

Is this true?

Many thanks!
