Default Do Canadian Corvettes have the same engine tune?

In the owner's manual for Canadian spec C7s, they list the minimum octane as being 91 octane, vs 93 for the US spec cars. So I was wondering if the Canadian cars get a different engine tune that's less aggressive to allow for the lower octane?

I believe 91 is the lowest octane on all c7s. They should all have the same tune on each model

But if the tune really is setup for 91 octane on the US bound cars, why does the manual call for a minimum of 93?

Doesn't it suggest, not require 93? It's my understanding that the validation is still done with 91 octane.

The US owner's manual says this: "Using unleaded
gasoline rated below 93 octane,
however, will lead to reduced
acceleration and fuel economy."

I don't have the 2018 Canadian manual yet (my 2018 is still sitting in Bowling Green) but I've been told that it recommends 91, which is why I'm curious if it might have a different tune, or are all the Canadian C7 owners that are running 91 seeing reduced performance because the tune was really optimized for 93?

I feel like a dope now, as I had been told that the Canadian owner's manuals listed 91 octane as the minimum but now that I've got my 2018 I see that the owner's manual up here also says that 93 octane is recommended (and that you could use as low as 87 but performance will suffer)

So now my question has shifted, since this would indicate that the Canadian cars do get the same engine tuning. My question now is about the use of 91 octane, how much would performance suffer? I prefer to use 91 octane because I can get ethanol free gas from both Shell and Costco up here in Ontario, but both of them are only 91 octane. I can find 94 octane very easily, as it's in most Petro Canada stations up here but it does have ethanol in it.

We use the same method to calculate octane as the US, so it's the average of research and motor octane

Patman, look at all the trouble you get into by reading the damn manual. Just stuff it back in the glove box and go and have fun, well maybe not right now but when it warms up in August.

Happy New Year to you and your family.
