Default [ASKED] C7, c7zo6 and c7zr1 manual tranmission and axles

hey guys,

in previous thread tadge answered Fyreant that all c7 manual cars have the same axles, but i found that base c7 have a different axles parts number (20977316 leftside + 20977317 right side ), for c7zo6 and c7zr1 (23301162 leftside +23301163 rightside),
pricing is different from both prt numbers.

my question is why there is different part numbers and different pricing if they are the same axles?

Also i wanted to ask if the transmission in c7zo6 is the same as the c7zr1 for manual trans

thanks in advance

This is a great question actually. We were advised they are all the same across all models, base included. If the part numbers are different i’d be curious why. Only thing I could think of is manual vs auto. Maybe they revised the parts after Tadge answered my original question..

I thought the ask Tadge mentioned that the axles were beefed up for the ZR1 but then because the mass gain was minimal, the new parts were used on all cars going forward. That could explain why there are still multiple numbers floating around

Actually from what I remember that obly applied to the read diff spider gear tooth pattern. The axles and drive shaft where advised to be the same I believe.
