Three different ways to paste a URL link into 
http://www.corvetteforum.com - simply copy and past the URL directly into the message.

[URL="http://http://www.corvetteforum.com"]http://http://www.corvetteforum.com[/URL]  Used URL button on entry form.  By default it displays the URL name, same as the first example but allows a custom name to be used as the following example.

[URL="http://http://www.corvetteforum.com"]provide display name for URL[/URL]  Used URL button on entry form then edited the display name.  Replace only the "provide display name for URL" test in this line.

Note the URL HTML tag uses uses specifically placed braces and double quotes.  It's very easy to delete necessary information causing it to not work.
