Stock CD/Tape Player (Bose)
Since I bought the car I found out the cd player doesn't work. I bought a cd cleaner (cd with brushes on it) and ran it through about 50 times and so far it will play the first few notes of that cd and nothing else from any cd. So I figured the lens was dirty (smoke build up) and i needed something stronger. Thats when i bought air in a can to help spray the inside of the cd player and hopefully that would clean it, but it proved to be a waste of time. No ones willing to even look at it for under $300, and I don't want to spend anywhere near that on it. Anyone have any tips? Is it hard to take apart and fix a cd player, or is it more hassle than it's worth and I should just invest in tapes?

Yeah, the CD player was still new technology. Everyone with a C4 will probobly experience this problem. I reccommend putting in a hidden CD changer to keep your OEM dash. Just make sure you do it yourself, because you don't want someone else fishing for your attena wire [BTW it's actually inbedded in the dash near the fuse box]

Send it back to the dealer for warranty repair.
