Default Help/advice needed ASAP on perpheral install

First off thanks for looking in, hopefully you might be able to assist.

I am in the process of installing the peripheral ipod adaptor to the stock Bose cd head unit.

-Just to give some back round to understand my dilemma:
-I did the necessary console removal to gain access to the radio and then proceeded to remove the 20 pin connector from the back of the head unit.

-plugged in the correct harness adaptor that goes between the GM 20 pin connector and the head unit and all other connections.

-Turned ignition to accessory to test the radio and NO POWER to radio only. Everything else seems to have power.

-I double check all connections still no power.
-I check fuse #5 for radio power, looks fine, still no power.
-I decide to double back and remove above mentioned harness thinking this might be the issue, plug in GM 20 pin connector directly to head unit , turn key to accessory, try radio, STILL NO POWER.

At this point I am thinking WTF . I have gone back to stock mode, double checked all connections……I am at a loss.

I would really appreciate any thoughts, advice….please do not suggest that I trash the bose unit..that is not the issue.

Many thanks
