I’m not much of an audiophile but I do like good sound in my car. I’m planning on upgrading the head unit in my C5 coupe to add some features. I’m look for a unit that will control an Ipod that will be stored in the glove box. It should also keep the Ipod charged. I would also like to use the HU to be XM compatible. Finally, I channel surf a lot so I need to be able to programs multiple stations in so I can jump around.

Those requirements limit you to around, oh, say 1500 choices.
I really like the Alpine I have in my Yukon but honestly, navigating an iPod on any single din head is going to be a pain. The best way is to use playlists and not try to navigate to Rush-Tom Sawyer from AC/DC-Back in Black. That will take you a while. Now the Alpine IWA-200 rocks on iPod but it is a double din and you'll have to mod your console to fit it in.
I put a Clarion MAX675VD in mine. IPod works flawlessly. The menu, fwd, rev, and pause/play keys come up on the touchscreen on the head unit. It's even play any videos or podcasts you have on it.
