ANyone familiar wth Metra 99-4000 kit for C5 single din radio install?
I ordered a Pioneer 5900 and mounting kit for a CF vendor. Got the kit and radio. I got a faceplate and a plastic adapter that the faceplate snaps into. No cage, no nothing and no ways to bolt the radio into the car or radio frame. If I follow their directions, the radio would fall out whenever I took off.
Open to any ideas/solutions/suggestions.

in my opinion, the Metra 99-3300 is a better install kit for the radios... the 99-4000 is a multi-kit, whereas the 99-3300 is a pre-molded kit with mounting tabs molded in for the best mounting ability.
Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the reply and a thanks to Patrick as well. The cage was on the radio. I just wasn't sure how the cage was secured to the mounting hardware.
First time I ever put another radio in any of my cars so excuse th dumb questions.
thanks

Nice to know there is an option if this one doesn't work to my satisfaction.
