I really like the Garmin for GPS, Kenwood uses this for their NAV systems. The good thing is that you do not need to load a DVD every time you use the GPS because it is built into a box that you can update with an SD card.
I have the Eclipse AVN6610. It is the dual disc system so I can have a CD/DVD movie playing with the map disc also in there. So I can watch a movie while getting directions too. Great iPod interface too. Very user friendly.

I have to admit that I am one of those few people who find the stock Bose system in my C5 Z06 entirely adequate and was originally thinking of one of those TomTom type add on navigators.
As I research this more, I'm thinking perhaps replacing my stock HU with a combination stereo/nav unit because, for one reason, it would make for a much cleaner install. And having MP3 capability is attractive to me as well.
Thanks to all who offered an opinion. Guess I need to spend some time at some reputable car stereo places to have a look at some of these.

Oye! My head is spinning!
I've looked at various in-dash units today and played with 'em. I think I like Kenwoods the best.
I was thinking about a double din unit but man. They look like a major pain to install so now I'm thinking about a KVT-719DVD with the KNA-G610 Nav unit (Garmin based).
I'm just kinda curious how well the motorized screens hold up over the long term or should I tough out the hard install and go with a double din?
