I just changed out my amp and added a capacitor and I left for the weekend, when I came home my battery was dead.
I am running power from my battery to a distribution block (with fuses). one lead from the block goes to amp 1 for my highs the other goes to the capacitor then from the capacitor to amp 2.
My capacitor has a digital readout and comes on when I open my doors and the interior lights come on. Then when I close the door the lights stay on like normal for like 30 seconds. then the gauges shut off and the cap turns off. then about 20 seconds later the lights go off and the cap turns back on, stays on for another 30 or so and turns off.
I'm wondering if the cap is turning on and off randomly, and what would cause that. And if that could be what is killing my battery?
