Help! Need One Driver's Side 10" Sub-Box for '06 C6 Z06! Thanks!
I'm do a complete overhaul with the audio in the C6Z and the last component I have left is the sub-box. Looking for a 10" carpeted, flush look. My top choice was the 4080 Enclosures, carpeted box that fit driver's side but they are out of business and no longer making their boxes which I thought looked great!
Anyone have one of these for sale or know of anyone making one similar? I'm installing a IQ10D2, therefore I need a 5.5" mounting depth.
Thanks for the help!
Matthew

Interesting... When you go to the 4080 website, it is up and running, the date is showing as Feb. 16 2011.
The enclosures for the C6's were made by Boxology aka Science Of Sound.
Well built and nice looking enclosures. I've had one for three years.
I see them occasionally listed for sale in the C6 Parts section.

Yes I called them today and they are no longer making boxes and closing shop. I have inquired about the box from MadVette Motorsports which is similar, but the 5.5" mounting depth is a 1/2" issue on those boxes and it seems they are backed up with other work at the moment. I'll keep my eye out. I've got $300 to $350 to give for a box that will do the job.

If you can wait a bit longer we are close to having our new prototype ultra low weight, more compact than others, enclosure done then off to the manf plant to make a mold and start a group buy on them. Not sure yet but the first prototype came in at 9 lbs, we expect to get quite a bit lower on the production unit, far lower than others, close to half if not so!
It is being designed for the IDQ10V3 which I am OEM licensed to sell to Vette owners with my packages, quite a bit more sub than the ID110V2 which is still far better than most subs!
Others might fit, not going to test them as none are going to be as good as the IDQ10V3 but a reduction ring of sorts could be made to work, the IDQ10v3 measures 11" on the outside of the basket so really and 11" sub in my book.
----------
Thanks
Rick
