Default cd static

i burn my own cd's from my home recorder for my listening pleasure instead of listening to the radio or xm radio. i have about 5 cd's in the car i listen to and every one of them has static coming thru the speakers after the fifth or sixth time i listen to them. has anyone experienced this problem with recordable cd's before? i'm beginning to wonder if it's the unit it self, possibly defective. the car is a 013 with only 2200 miles on it. is it possible the cd unit is bad?

Find a store bought CD that you wouldn't be too concerned about getting scratched and play it 10 times to see if it gets the static. Maybe make a copy first so you have a clean version if it's the HU.
