Default Where are you guys putting your sirius antenna?

Hey,

Just got Sirius back into my Convertible C5 and curious where people are putting the antenna. Right now I put it just behind the window but don't like that. I have heard some people say they put there's underneath the trunk lid or even behind the rear lights?

Just let me know where you have it and if you have any problems with reception.

Thanks!

Steven

In the C5 I had mine on top of the rear bumper. You can route the cord through the cabin pressure relief flap that's just behind the drivers side rear wheel (pic here).

So was it inside the bumper or outside the car? LOL funny because that is EXACTLY what the rear of my vert looks like right now and just laid some second skin luxury liner pro over the crazy cowboy kit but don't have the rear carpet in yet...

I fished it through the vents on the inside of the quarterpanel. Take out the outside brake housing and grab it, then just let the magnet attach to the top of the metal bumper inside the rear fascia.

Perfect! That is what I had heard some guys do but wanted to make sure there weren't any signal issues. Thanks for the confirmation!

or you can just get an adapter and connect to the factory antenna located in the rear drivers side quarter panel behind the carpet on the wheel well.

They work just fine under the back portion of the center console as well or inside the waterfall on a vert

1) Inside the top of the dash is one spot.
2) Under the hood is closer than the rear bumper.
3) 3M outdoor double-stick to the top of the rear bumper.
4) Inside a side-mirror may also work ...

Back by the rear hatch release on my 94 ZR-1.

The C4 Zr-1s came with solar-tint windshields which screws up the reception if mounted on the dash unless in the the radar cutout area.

I just tried under the center console under the waterfall and under the carpet on the passenger inside fender I went ahead with the fender location, as I felt it was a little faster bringing in channels. Mine is a coupe, but you should be able to find an equivilant spot.
