Little grill up on the "a" pillar, what is it for?

Default Little grill up on the "a" pillar, what is it for?
I have a 2005 coupe and on the left '"a" pillar about 4 inches from the top there is a little grill about 1 inch square, can someone tell me what that is?
To me it looks like a cover or a grill for a microphone.
