Sorry if this as already been discussed but I am in the market for a good double din that will provide wifi connectivity (using my hot spot) and allow for backup camera install.
Was looking at the Kenwood DNN990 and DNN770 but am reading mix reviews on the need to create various accounts and problems bypassing playback in drive mode.
I cannot comment on the product link you provided. I have seen threads where people have mounted android based tablets and use them for audio.
You are right about the Kenwoods. Lots of frustrating issues that Kenwood seems to be ignoring. Some people seem to have it really bad to the point of having their units in for service so many times that Kenwood eventually refunded their $. I have experienced a few of the issues myself but not nearly as bad as some I have read over on the Kenwood Forum. So far, my experience has been more positive than negative. Makes me wonder if earlier manufactured units were the troublesome ones.
I'm running a Kenwood DNN990 in my Silverado. I did have a problem with my headunit seeing my hotspot on my Blackberry 9800. Neither the installer or Kenwood could give a solution. I changed to the latest Blackberry Z10 and now have hotspot connectivity. Also had problems with Pandora pairing with the Pandora on my phone. Sometimes it works most times it doesnt so I connect with a 3.5mm cable. Overall I like the Kenwood but it is buggy.
