This has probably been asked a couple times, but I'm going to ask it again, in hope for some better responses.
I'm planning a system setup in my '79. I want to be able to have room for my T-Tops. I'd like to have 2 x 6x9's. And at least 1-2 10" subs. Replace the front speaerks, and of course, I'd need an amp. The rear in the C3 is pretty small so I'd like your ideas on how to do this.
I can fit the 6'x9's behind the wheel wells and they will take up virtually no room. The subs is the hard part. If I put the T-Tops in laying across the back, there's about 5" of space between the rear wall and the back of the T-Tops. If I lay the T-Tops the other way I have alot more room. maybe 12-15". Question is....will it make much difference if the subs aren't placed symetrically (sp?) in the car? What difference will it make if I have them both on the driver side, or passenger side of the car.
Please post answers/pics/comments/ideas/suggestions
I thought that wouldn't be very good for them. Am I wrong there? I thought the constant pounding on the T-Tops might damage/weaken them or something. =)

The tops would probably be hurt more by a sub when on the roof rather than over the sub in the storage compartment. In the cargo area, the music can go around them and they can vibrate. On the roof, they are sealed down and held in place with no way to flex with the bass. Much easier to break a sealed window than an open one.
