With the official Apple 30 pin to Lighting Adapter it should still charge.

If you have the factory white 30 pin cable from your PAL then there is no 5V output. So the until will play with Apple's 30 pin to Lightning adapter, but it will not charge your iPhone 6. There is an adapter you can get which will drop a 12v output to the 5v pin so it will charge your phone. I tried it, but thought it distorted the sound (too many adapters).

If you have the longer black cable, you can charge with the Lightning adapter from Apple.

I went with a 30 pin to bluetooth adapter (AIS03FG). I can still switch songs from the steering wheel, but it does not show the song names.

For charging, I just use a normal cig to Lightning charger.
