I have located an in-stock, matte black, Metra Double Din Bezel for the C5, for $225.74 shipped. That is a savings of $75 over the Black Textured Finish of another vendor.

What would be the process of self-coating / painting of the bezel?
How would one plastidip and texture the bezel?

well dennis does the finish for you on the other which is kind of the perk

it's easy to paint a bezel any color you choose and could even do a basecoat clearcoat to match your car

it would take some trial and error if you are trying to recreate the factory finish. this is time, materials and labor

what you found isn't really a better deal, it's just a different one. with this you have to do the finish work. with the other it's plug and play

We are getting these with NO PAINT or FINISH from Metra
They are putting on a rubberized coating on them.

YOu will need to strip all the rubberized finish off them before painting them.
Here is what this looks like for you to strip off the Metra applied finish to properly finish them.
This applies for base coat clear coat, hydro, texture
anything
This stuff will need to be removed.
