Default PAC RP5-GM11 No Memory and Radio on constantly

hi guys, in a little stumped here, car is a 2007 z06 with Bose and onstar. I've installed countless radios and never had an issue like this. Basically I have the PAC rp5-gm11 wires in with my pioneer avh-x391, immediately after plugging in the radio the radio turns on, car can be completely off and opening the door won't turn it off either.

my first thought is that somehow the 12v constant power is getting to the radio and not the memory wire. However below is how I have it wired.

PAC. Head Unit
Red/yellow/black Red

Yellow Yellow

Black Black

You should have a black, yellow and red wire for power. You need to check them and make sure they are connected properly.

Wires,
1 - black wire is your ground
2 - red wire is your ignition wire (it supplies 12v when the key is turned or the ignition is on)
3 - yellow wire is your constant power. (this supplies power to the head unit at all times and is needed so the head unit can retain memory settings and clock, even when the unit is off)

Yes I understand that. In the pic I posted above there is yellow/red/black all wired together coming from the module. That goes to some fuse looking thing and then 1 red wire emerges from that. In the PAC directions that is wried to accessory power on the radio (red wire) the other yellow wire that connects to the module is wired to the yellow constant hot source on the radio and then obviously black is ground.

The above pic pic is my actual harness so you can see how it's wired

The plugs in the second picture do not get used again. The grey one I believe is the GPS antenna, but it didn't fit my Pioneer so I had to use the Pioneer supplied antenna. I forget what the other plug is for but I did leave in unplugged.

I also had an issue with my original Pac Harness and had to replace it with another. Wiring harnesses are almost like a necessary evil. Almost all brands are of questionable build quality in my opinion, so it doesn't surprise me that yours may be bad.

So odd. I have a similar issue. Although the radio would actually turn off, my GS died after 3 days of not driving it. So I thought I too had a bad RP5. Replaced it with a RP4.
