Hi,

Just put the stereo back in my newly acquired car as the previous owner had taken it out "because it was a track car".

Well, i found out its not working properly. When ACC/IGN is on i hear a small sound from the radio, but nor screen or any buttons work. When i accidentally pushed "Driver 2", the radio started playing music, but only the steering wheel controls worked. Still no screen and no way of controlling the unit by itself.

Would you say this unit is broken?

I have been thinking about a aftermarket unit. I got some parts with the car to do an install. Im just not sure if its the right ones...
Ive got a PAC OS-2CBOSE together with a SWI-RC kit and some sort of aerial adapter.
I believe this is what the RP5-GM11 kit consists of?

What else would i need? Of course a Metra 95-3304 kit.
Car is a Bose car without On-star from what i know.
