Bose Amplifier Board ???
Does anyone have knowledge or done some research on the Bose amps? What I am trying to find out is a 15270621 Bose amp marked (AMP ASSY , 5600 . GMX245 COUPE) would seem to indicate the board is a #5600 and the housing application is GMX245 COUPE. Now in theory you could remove the main board from a 15879797 (AMP ASSY , 5600 . GMX211) and place it in the corvette amp housing along with some fresh cpu grease since the housing acts as a giant heat sink and shaped for the vehicle it was intended for.

I can confirm when replacing a Bose Amp looking at the part number sticker the AMP ASSY # is the board housed in the unit. Since only new Bose Amps were available for the part number 20934651 that I needed costing around $300. I got a new one part # 21998690 for a H2 hummer cost $54. It has the same AMP ASSY part # 8800 but you have to take the board and placing in your original housing. Beware there are chips inside having thermal compound applied.

From what I can tell the looking at the AMP ASSY #'s 8800 = Board, GMX245 = Corvette, M = Convertible and CE = Centennial Edition. I got lucky and it worked so it may help others looking for a amp. The main thing is to match the AMP ASSY # board number as I seen some corvette's use board number 5600.
