Default C6 - is the blue wire the positive handbrake wire?

Installed a new radio But I keep constantly getting the message that it will not display video while driving. I wired the radios parking brake detector into the aftermarket PAC but I think it’s negative when I need a positive.

I saw a light blue wire connected to the parking brake. Is that where I need to splice into?

What brand head unit? If Kenwood I always just ground the radio parking brake green wire.

Pioneer radio, 2013 vette. The radio has a long green wire, all I saw attached to the parking brake was a light blue wire.

I have done this on previous Pioneer units depending on model. I think a micro wire bypass might work as well.

These methods are for video bypass of course. It unlocks functions while driving. Otherwise just wire radio parking brake lead straight to vehicle parking brake wire.

There is also a hidden menu on some of the Pioneer Nex models that will let you turn off the safety feature from the head unit. It worked on my 8200. Check my post (#42) in this thread for the steps if you are interested.

Bartsky, nice job finding a video. That's definitely more helpful!!! I found the steps for it on a Pioneer or audio forum a while back when researching my head unit. Nice find!

I hooked the wire up to the parking brake and still getting the attention message. Crutchfield said its because I'm using the aux audio, and it assumes I want to use video. I'm going to have to do the wire bypass, I'll try that in a week or 2.

Thanks for the help! Looks like I can't even go the legit route.
