Well I'm finally going to upgrade my stock Bose system. My son has a nice radio with Bluetooth and car play but although he can hear incoming phone conversation just fine whomever he's talking to gets a very very garbled sound. His and my car are C6 Z06s (his 2008, mine 2009) and I don't want to end up with a poor performing phone like he did. Is this normal? Is there a solution? I think he's using the mic that came with the car not and add on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try using a different phone and see if that solves the problem.
