C6 LT1 non bose radio swap - no sound
Hello, i have a really cheap C6 2008 without Nav, without bose and without HUD.
Only the normal Radio with CD and Aux jack.
So, do i need a PAC interface ?
I think, the speakers are wired directly into the GM24 connector behind the radio.
I have baught a simple cable adapter. The GM connector has no ignition power, so i need to get this from the yellow cable and the new radio works.
But i have no sound out of the speakers.
One or two of my assumptions are wrong, obviously.
Can anybody help me please ?
Thanks

All C6's have a factory amp, even the non Bose. You need to connect a trigger/remote wire to send a signal to the amp to turn on.

From your head unit, the blue/white wire is the amp turn on, blue wire in power or amplified antenna. They both basically do the same thing though and send out a 12v signal when the head unit is on. That 12v signal tells your amp to turn on.

Yes, this is clear.
What about the cinch out ?
That means, i have to build an adapter myself, Cinchwires to Iso block.
Here is a picture of the thing i have

Or you could purchase the correct wiring interface made for your car. Pac is not the only option if you want to go with a cheaper option. There is also the Crux SOCGM-17C. Runs about $35 on Amazon. It will also retain your factory door chimes.

I have a Pac. But i ask myself why i should use it. (and i have noise in the speaker with it).
Do i need anything from the class II data bus ?
Is there a pinout plan from the radio connector (GM 24) ?

You don't need to use the Pac or any interface. The whole point of using an interface is so that you don't have to cut up the factory wires and it makes everything plug and play with all the wires you need to connect the head unit correctly. If you were getting speaker noise with the Pac, that's unfortunate. It could be defective and replacing it with another could solve your issues. Even though I recommend the Pac interface to others, I will say their quality control could be better and more consistent, but that also goes for all the other brands too. Your other questions I can't answer, hopefully someone else can be more help. Good luck.
