Default Question about Vettenuts C6 Coupe/GS Corner sub box..

I'm "downgrading" back to a stealth box. My dual 12TW1's are just too much. They are awesome and really exceeded my expectations, but I think I want some of the space back.
Anyway... Has anyone had a JL Audio 10W3v3 in this box, tried and different sub and liked the other sub better?

I have the VetteNuts corner sub box in my 2011 GS Coupe.

I installed it almost 8 years ago when my car was new ... no problems at all with it

When I ordered mine, you could get the box made to fit an 8" sub woofer, or a box made for a 10" sub woofer.

I have the 8" in mine .... The sub woofer is a JL Audio 8W3v3-4

Default Got hooked up today

And by "hooked up" I mean great deal... from a fellow forum member.
Driver side box with Arc Audio 10d2, Hope it sounds as good as it looks. My goal is to have two of these to replace the 12" subs.

I've run corner boxes with a variety of subs (IDQ10, 10W3v3, 10W6v2) all at 500RMS and was never really overwhelmed by them. There's a funky cancellation in the C6 cabin for at least the driver with the sub in that location, so your perceived output is less than what you'd get with the same sub/amp in a different car or location. Sure, they add bottom end fill, but it wasn't honestly that exciting music-wise for me.

Thanks for that response. I am experiencing more cancellation with the vettenuts box than I did with the JL corner box. The JL box also had a lot more volume at lower settings of the bass ****.

I may just go back to my 12's in the smaller sealed box. Or remake a ported box that fits towards the front of where the top gets stored. Anyone know how tall I can go without obstructing my rear view?

Tuning on an RTA is an absolute MUST in a C6. Subwoofer tuning actually took more time than any other speaker (and I run an 9 way active) because of the complexity of cabin gain in the rear glass. Out of the box there was a massive 40 Hz spike no matter what the gain or crossover was set at. This made the bass sound very good at 40 Hz, but nowhere else. I honestly don't think it's the subwoofer choice man...it's just the lack of tuning that you're unhappy with. Changing subs will not make you happier and while it may sound "better" than the previous setup, without tuning you'll still be underwhelmed and looking for another combo within months.

I have a 10tw3-d4 in my vert trunk and it hit's pretty decent for as slim as it is. very impressed. it only takes 0.5 cu ft, you could run two of them in 1.0 cu ft box and save room, OR just one in your corner box

I also agree with the above statement, many people underestimate tuning
