2005 C6 Manual - Need Reflash After Disconnecting Battery?
I'm finishing up a major sound-deadening and complete install of all stereo components.
As a starting point, the batter is almost always on a tender and I've never had a problem with it not starting right away. Even after setting for 3 or 4 weeks.
With the battery removed, the car set without it for about a month while the work was completed.
I was supper careful to not cut or damage any of the OEM wiring harness or components.
After reinstalling the batter the car started up immediately, no warning lights or problems.
But now battery needs to be charged/jumped if it sets for more than a couple of days, or I have the stereo on for even a little bit without the car running.
Can anybody confirm that I need to do a reflash?
Thanks,
Dave
In reading the several post, I believe I need to have the computer reflashed
The car then set for about

Well, as of this afternoon, its almost 1 day old.
Yesterday it was 8 + years old. But it did live its life on a tender.
But, prior to pulling the battery the first time last month it would easily go 4 to 6 weeks between starting without a tender and start on the first try. No hesitations!
I'll post how the new battery works out.

Wow, 8 years on a battery, that's almost unheard of. Hopefully the new battery will take care of the problem, either way there's no need to refresh the computer when installing an aftermarket system, this is usually only required if you're changing a stock head unit to a different stock head unit. So how'd the stereo install come out ? Did my XM antenna wire modification work out for you ?

Hi Pete,
I'm still waiting on the cable from China, however your directions were superb!
I've holding finishing the passenger compartment until I get the cable.
Until then I've decided to do a Di-Noc carbon fiber wrap of my center counsel and to also remove the external B-Pillar Halo cover and to paint it gloss black. That should match nicely to the gloss black ZR1 spoiler and front air-dam and window tinting that are next on the list.
Again, thank you for the directions on using the OEM XM receiver. I really liked that idea.
