Default Pyle Backup camera problem

Hey guys, had front and rear cam installed along with my Alpine ilx 207 HU on my C6 manual Z. Problem I'm having is my backup lights stay on all the time. I checked the wiring connections at the rear of vehicle and the power seems to hooked up correctly with red wire from cam hooked to green wire going to backup light and the brown going to the black for ground Cam works fine just lights stay on with car on. Any ideas what else I can check? I have lost confidence in the shop that did install which is why I will not take my car back there. Thanks

If you disconnect both wires, do the lights function correctly?

I had the wife stand behind the car while I put it in and out of reverse and the lights work as they are supposed too. BONUS; the rear cam still activates even though I have disconnected (power) in the rear! So I don't know where/how its being powered BUT don't care at this moment because everything works properly!

It sounds like they hooked your reverse camera to 2 different power sources. That explains why your reverse lights were staying on as power was running from another source to the camera but then also to your reverse lights.

Yes I am thinking the same. With the Alpine HU I had to buy their cam module adapter to be able to run 2 cameras which requires a power source a well. G2G now! Thx!
