So here’s a weird one I was hoping someone could help me out with. It seems like all the speakers in the car with the exception of the passenger door woofer and tweeter (and maybe the passenger dash tweeter) have stopped working. It started intermittently a few weeks ago and now it seems to be permanent. Furthermore the tweeter is overwhelmingly loud and the door woofer sounds muted almost.
I have a pioneer aftermarket head unit but that has been in since January with no issues. System is the stock 9 speaker Bose.
Anyone have ave any pointers before I start tearing stuff apart?
Thanks!

So it seems like all the speakers are actually working, but only the front passenger ones are incredibly loud. By putting the fader balance heavily adjusted to the drivers side rear I can get it to sound OK. I wiggled the wires coming from the Bose amp while the radio was on and it didn't change anything so I don't think its a loose connection there. I have the PAC RP5-GM11 Wiring Interface. I will pull the console later this week to see if there are any loose connections in there. If there aren't does this sound like a bad amp?
When you pull your dash, check the PAC RP5-GM11 and see if it has the jumper wires mentioned on the last two pages of these installation instructions titled "Important Instructions For Double DIN Radios". https://pdf.crutchfieldonline.com/Im...541RP5GM11.PDF If yours doesn't have these jumpers, I personally would suspect the PAC interface is possibly going bad. You can try to add the jumpers and see if it'll do any good, but I wouldn't count on it. You could test the amp itself by pulling the Pioneer, and temporarily re-installing the original stereo to see if you have the same issues, you could also do a bench test of the Pioneer while it's out to see if it's the head unit.

Thanks for the info about the jumper. I’ll check when I pull it out. Also, great idea about the stock head unit to eliminate the HU as the problem.
I suspect the PAC unit as well...especially it wire wiggling didn't really correct anything. Internal fuses blow all the time. FYSA, OEM Bose is a 4 Ohm system.
So I reinstalled the stock radio and it sounded fine, funny thing is when I reinstalled the aftermarket radio it seems to work fine again too. Maybe it was a loose connection? Maybe something was reset when I disconnected the battery? Who knows.

Well, that's a good thing, I think you're right about a loose connection, hopefully that's all it was. Did you check the PAC unit for the jumpers I mentioned ?

I did. They aren’t there and I didn’t have time to fix it the other day. I will pull it out again this week and splice them in. Thanks again.
Most likely it's the connections at the Pac module. I had something similar happen when installing my head unit. Noticed that some of the speakers were not on. Applying and holding pressure to the plugs at the Pac module and the speakers would all come on again. Ended up replacing the Pac module with another. I did not replace the wiring or plugs, only the blue box (module). I haven't had any issue since. All these wiring interface harnesses are cheaply made. If the problem comes back, I would look at replacing the Pac module with another.
