Hey Vince. Any recommendations for the 10 inch mid speakers with the stock Bose amp?
I am running Morel ADM9 9" midbass with an adapter plate. Sounds amazing but i am running an amp so not sure if the factory amp would be enough to drive them or not
The "tech" at Crutchfield told me that the Rockford-Fosgate-R2SD2-10 were not shallow enough to fit. Do they interfere with the window glass or similar? Thanks for your help

Crutchfield's fitment guidance is not always shall we say 100% accurate.

crutchfield was right. They will interfere with the window. I tried installing them in my C6 they will have to be spaced out to clear the window. Waiting on sounds good 10 in adapters now so I can finish the install. With those I believe they will work.
not true, I tried because of this thread. Now waiting on adapters. Hopefully this will help the next person.
So they fit, but they require adapters. This would be true of most speakers. Technically, the 6.5" speakers that many people use do not "fit" into the door space where the 8" (or 10") sub is located, but there are many people who have them there.
This is different than saying that they don't fit, period.

if you read the thread. It is stated they fit. There is no mention of adapters. Won't know if the adapters will fix the issue till they get here next week. So in my opinion. The statement made is wrong. You see things your way and I'll see them my way. 40 years as a master auto tech makes me hate half truth sentences. Unless it's stated they fit with adapters then what was stated is a half truth.

40 years as a Master Auto Tech should have taught you that unless something is OEM or a direct copy of the OEM part (and sometimes even then), you will most likely need an adapter to install it.
Aftermarket audio is designed to fit as many vehicles as possible, and most will require an adapter, mounting plate, whatever you want to call it.
But, as you say, you see it your way, I'll see it mine. Hope the adapter plates solve your issue.

For anyone following this thread. The 10" adapter from sounds good stereo provides the necassary clearance to use these in a C6 vert.
however, you will have to trim the door panel to Reinstall it. In a C6 convertible, you will have to make many modifications to install the Rockford fosgate R2D2 subs in the doors.
