Default Anyone Using Brown Bread Sound Deadener?

I am looking to do the inside of my convertible and looked at the website and was just wondering if anyone here is using brown bread sound deadener and what do you think of it. I will probably do the inside of the doors on my truck to try and quite it down some to help the sound.
What are some alternatives available?

I will be using it as well as the b-cool heat barrier very soon. Have only read good things about these products on this forum.

I have used Brown-Bread on several occasions and it performs very well. You can buy 70 ft^ of it on ebay for a little over $100. You should be pleased with it.

Looking at using this product also. Does anyone have an estimate on the amount needed for a C3 convertible? Probably end up just doing the rear and the doors. Will the 70 ft^2 be enough, too much?

70 ft^ would be plenty. Do mulitple layers of it and try to do the floor pan as well. Even the firewall if you can, but that's up to you.

Brown bread is good, I would also use Raamat, which is great stuff and cheap. Go to Elitecaraudio.com and search for Raamat. I use it on all our competition cars.

I have 175sqft in the Mallett. Brown Bread is really easy to use and form, even without a heatgun. Just use gloves, the little metal backing will slice up your hands!

I went to the website and don't see anything called b-cool.
I am looking for something like this to put over my trany line to reduce heat coming in the carbin.

I put some Frost King 1/8" open cell foam with foil backing in my car. It didn't do much for noise, but the car is noticably cooler by the tranny now.

Then they went up on the price, I last got 70 ft^ of Brown-Bread off ebay not long ago for $109.00 including S & H.

:iagree: Yep, next to Brown-Bread I would recommend Raamat. It takes more layers to get the job done but it's really cheap and works well.

:iagree: Yes Brown-Bread does apply well although I would still recommend using a heat gun to install it. And by all means DO wear gloves, I learned that the hard way and had a few fingers band-aided because of it!
