I did it and I think it helped some. I already had the carpet out for a stereo install, but I don't think I would have done it as a standalone mod...IMHO...
If you are going to go through all the work required for this mod, do it correctly. The frost king stuff doesn't hold a candle to brownbead or dynomat.
I thought it was all hassle and little to no effect. I believe 1coolPC found the same, but I cant speak for him.
Yes, an utter waste of effort. I spent a whole second day taking it back out and putting in good deadening material. I noticed absolutely no difference what so ever in sound levels. Spend a few bucks and get some stuff that has mass, the Frost King is just too light to quell any heavy road vibrations. (This was not in my GTO but in the 2002 Z28.)
