Default Maisto C7

Just picked up a 1/18 maisto 2014 C7 in red, comes in red or black, not the concept version but looks like the new C&. Costco.

I just got one like above at Sam's Club in Marietta GA for 13.98 I passed on the black and blue (looks gray) because the Dark red shows the vents and etc that are balck in better detail. The Corvette door sill when you open the door is cool.

Yea, I preferred the red as well for those same reasons, does show better detail on vents and such. I noticed the sill plates as well and thought that was a nice touch.

I just picked up a black one at Costco this morning. Can't beat it at $12.95. A die cast vender at Laguna Seca wanted $40 each for the same car a couple of weeks ago.

Went to the local Costco here in Austin Texas. They didn't have any of these, but they had Christmas decorations out. It's 98 degrees today.

Is there a variation on these?

I notice oldsarge has a red with red interior and tractman has a red with tan interior...

I took the red one with the red interior and the black one with Kalahari interior and switched the interiors. Easy to do, couple screws to remove and pop the door panels off....snap them back on the other car and put them back together....took about 10 minutes and they look much better.

I've never had the guts to dismantle my diecasts for fear that I would never get them back together. I like the swapped interiors, the red in the black really pops!!

I'll be picking up one at my local Costco/Sam's when they finally arrive here. As of a couple weeks ago not yet.

Picked up the Maroon with Red interior and Black with Tan interior today at Costco $12.99 each. Too bad the cost is now 30% higher than a few years ago ($9.99). Still, a fair price for Maisto quality. At least that are Dubbed versions.....

Ditto, got my two at Sam's for $12.98/each. Now I want to swap my interiors like tractman did.

Don't be afraid to take them apart. With just a little talent you can do it, it isn't that hard. I took a 65 apart to make a junkyard barn find. I took this all apart and aged the chassis and interior, windows and body and chrome. There is an old thread for the 65 here with lots of pics, if interested.
