Hi,

Anyone know of any online vendors who have a 1:18th scale acrylic cover the fits the leatherette display base that comes with BBR models? By the looks of the base, an acrylic top should fit right over the edges of the base. I've seen some acrylic cases that already have the base included, but I think the one that would fit the BBR leatherette base would not have a base.

Ok, 100+ views but no suggestions? Any ideas to share? BBR is an Italian company and I'm looking for a US based distributor.

Try Truescale. I received a model from Autex (ebay)that had a truescale case included and it is a perfect fit.

Go to eBay and search BBR 1/18; sort by price from lowest to highest and you will be surprised at the number of suitable cases you will find from US based vendors. Autex and Replicarz are excellent but there are lots of really good sellers out there. Make sure you check the postage for an all-in price. (Saw $30 item with $350 postage!)

Hey I know this is an old thread but I want to share with you the case I have for my new 1:18 Z06 BBR model. It's from AC Moore with a mirror on the back. See how it sits on top of the leather base. Still looks good!

I have found that many of the 1:18 scale models will fit in an inexpensive mass-produced display case. Even without removing the model from the base.

BTW, I do not recommend removing the model from the original base. Especially if you think you may sell it in the future.. In addition you may find - if you haven;t already - that a model with a leather or alcantra baseplate is considerably more than one with just a simple plastic or wood base.

Autex is a very good dealer with reasonable prices. I've bought a lot of stuff from Ari.

I bought a few of these from another vendor, but they are pretty good ad genrally all you need.

Just a suggestion, if you have a Michaels Craft store in your area, you could get a case for a Football. They have a lot of 50% off specials during this holiday time.
