We're downsizing and I ran across this 1983 Corvette/Goodyear Eagle ashtray- about 6-1/2" diameter with gold ring. There's nothing on the bottom. I worked in Akron where Goodyear was based, and I'm guessing I picked it up in the 10 years we lived in the area, but I don't remember the circumstances.

Any guesses how rare it might be? and accordingly,

Does it have any collector value since it represents the only model year that Corvette wasn't produced ? I did find some info on one listed on Ebay that it was handed out at a press conference in Riverside, CA promoting the new tire design for the new Corvette.

That's what I'm looking for--to determine a value.

There ws one I saw for $225 and another I saw for $12.95 . .. .I just know I've had this thing forever and wondered about the story behind it.

Ya, not much use. Most people have no need for something like that. Hang on to it, maybe some day. It's small won't take up much room. If any thing else, set yr coffee cup in it. Best for a almost sale.
