Here a mod I just completed on a Revell '69. It's probably the closest I'll ever come to the real Revell black '69! I was originally going to leave the Rallies on it, but I thought it'd look sharp with a set of gold Torq-Thrusts. Now that the Revells are readily available and cheap, it's a lot easier to do things with them. This one was originally an orange TRU '69. (Just kidding! ). Enjoy! http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=ann...oto&AID=533685
Great job Mike, I like the addition of the torque trust wheels , Nice looking diecast. Was this the green one you was trying to get rid of? How did you do the emblems on the nose and gas tank filler door? Looks great!!!
Thanks Bob! This one was an original-issue blue one that had some minor paint scuffs. I was able to mask the crossed-flags, as well as the marker lights, prior to painting. I wish I could find 1/18 "Stingray" script and Corvette letters for the tail, either decals or photo-etched metal. :chevy

I know some of the hobby stores sell decal sheets in clear and white that you can use on a printer. I thought about ordering some and trying to take a photo of these to see if it could be done. Wonder if anyone has tried this yet?
If you get ready to sell this one let me know.
I've been making decals for some time, mostly for my plastic models. The drawback is that with inkjet printers, you can't make white, silver or gold decals. An ALPS printer is best for making all colors, but they're very expensive.
The inkjet type works fine otherwise. :)
