Did the Maisto Collector Edition ever come out?
I recall the silver '96 was supposed to come out in July 2003. I don't frequent this section much and may have missed it.

Word is the silver '96 was dropped, and it wasn't going to be a CE anyway. They were going to make it a silver coupe with sawblade wheels and a tan :U interior. That's why I went ahead and made a few CE coupes.

I made 5 or 6 of them, with both the grey/black and all-black interiors. There was limited interest, and I used up the Sebring Silver paint I had, so I moved on to other projects. I'll email you a few pics.

7Vette made one of these for me and It came out great. Surprised there isn't more interest in these.

I cancelled my order when I found out it would have sawblades. I bought an extra GS and will repaint it.

That's a good way to go so you don't have to steal the silver ZR-1 wheels from something else. A paint I recommend for the wheels is Krylon Original Chrome. Obviously coming from a spray can, it doesn't really come out chrome, but a very shiny silver with a great sheen to it (not Martin or Charlie! ). I use it on a lot of my plastic models in place of regular silver. It comes in a tall, skinny 8 oz. can, black with a chrome cap. I get it at Walmart.
