Over a dozen years ago I made a couple of the 1/8 65's into roadsters, here's one of them. I've also converted a 1/8 '78 Vette and a 1/8 '85 IROC Camaro to roadsters.

I have a question hotrod. You said the wheels are scratchbuilt. How did you get them chromed?

Those wheels and other chrome items were plated by http://www.chrometechusa.com/
The wheels where made from scratch, RTV molded and resin cast. Chrome tech is really good for non metal parts plating. They did all of my 1/25 scale stuff in the past. I will post a pic of the cragar s/s cap, it will blow your mind. It was laser etched at a company that makes trophy badges.

Here are some more pics of the wheels. The engine has RB motion hardward on the intake bolts, valve cover bolts, carb studs, head bolts, fuel fittings and other misc. hardware. Upper radiator hoses are flexible drinking straws

Just the blue portion of the center cap is .250 diam., and a poor pic. In '03 this car took 1st place in large scale class at the Kansas City Slammers show.
