Ferodo Brake Pads 3097H, 7420 pad type, for Wilwood calipers
***SOLD***
I have a set of new-in-box Ferodo FRP3097H brake pads, which are the 7416/7420 shape for many Wilwood Superlite brake calipers.
This is the DS2500 compound, which is billed as a "track day pad" with "road refinement." The working temps are listed as 20*C-500*C, so they seem like a streetable solution for a car that is also autocrossed and tracked.
I was planning to use these as street/autocross pads on my C4. However, they are too thick for my application. Please note: Ferodo's page for these pads correctly gives their thickness as 0.803" (20.4mm), but incorrectly says they cross to the Wilwood 7416 size spec, which is the same shape but should only be 0.65" thick. They are actually sized as the 7420 spec, which is identical to 7416 except for being thicker.
These pads were purchased several years ago by the previous owner of my car, and he never got around to trying to install them (he stopped messing with the car, which is why he sold it). When I tried to install them this week, I realized they are the wrong thickness for my setup, which has a wider 1.25"-thick rotor. It is not possible for me to return these pads.
So, I hope to find a buyer with Wilwood brakes who can use the 0.80"-thick 7420 pads. I see these pads going as cheap as $120 plus shipping from online retailers. I am asking for $90 including shipping in the 48 states.
