After a couple of years of success with these AP brakes I am moving up to larger AP front rotors/calipers for my C6Z track car. As a result, my used C6 front big brake kit is for sale. It has served me very well and will be available as soon as the new hardware is delivered and installed. I expect my used kit to be ready to ship by 9/11/17 at the latest. Here is what I have for sale:

• A used, Essex designed, AP Racing Competition Front Big Brake Kit (Front CP5060/355mm) for the C6 Corvette. Essex part number 13.01.10012, (list price $3599 new). Includes calipers, ring/hat assemblies, brake lines and all the hardware to mount to the front of your C6 Corvette. The rings have 2 weekends of use. This big brake kit works great. I have had no problems with it. (I will include installation instructions from Essex)

• A used extra pair of front ring/hat assemblies (355mm x 32mm), which fit this big brake kit. I always carry a spare set of rotors (ring/hats) to the track to exchange as needed. These ring/hats are Essex part numbers 13.04.10007 (RH) and 13.04.20007 (LH), (list price $599 each, new). These rings have over 8 weekends of use. FYI: the replacement ring part numbers (no hat) are 13.05.10002 (RH) and 13.05.10003 (LH). The Disc Attachment Hardware Kit is Part #: 13.04.40003 for each ring/hat assembly.

Good question. Does anyone know whether these will fit under the rear C5Z06 wheels when ran on a base C6?

I don't know if this C6 front brake kit will fit a C5. My guess is the caliper bracket may be different. I will check with Essex and let you know....

Also, this is a FRONT competition brake kit with six piston calipers with 355mm, (13.9 inch) disks and not intended for the rear of either the C6 or C5.

The C6 AP REAR competition brake kit has four piston calipers with 340mm, (13.3 inch) disks. This rear brake kit is not for sale from me, but can be purchased through Essex.

I talked to Daniel Stagg at Essex (phone 704-824-6030) and he confirmed this front kit WILL FIT a C5, however the C6 brake lines do NOT fit a C5. (these are the flexible brake lines which go between the car and the caliper) His point was the C6 kit was the same as the C5 kit except for the brake lines. Daniel also said he would sell the buyer a set of proper C5 lines at a discount. He would probably also give you deal on your first set of brake pads too if you ask....

So, I will take an additional $50 off this kit for no brake lines for your C5.
