First off, I do like my car, it's just that there are some things that I think could be better and/or improved on. Having said that I'd like to start off with something thats been "ticking" me off for some time. When I originally got my 99 Convertible in mid October the AC made a strange noise, almost like you could hear the freon(sp?) going inside. For some reason I decided to ignore this and hope it went away, well after months of putting up with this sound I finally took it into the dealership to get fixed. Alas to my dismay they told me that it was a perfectly "acceptable" noise and that actually the older (98,97) Corvettes had a louder noise, i.e. they had fixed it somewhat and were still working on it. I don't know if it's just me but I get the impression that if you pay this much money for a car that they should fix these "acceptable" noises before it is released to the public. Now as for what AC I have, it's the dual-zone climate control one. I drove in my friend's 97 that has the normal AC and I didn't really hear it, but then again his car is a lot louder than mine. Well I'm guessing that the chance of this being read by Chevrolet and responded to is going to be relatively slim, so I'll just pester them at Carlisle(sp?) when I go.
