Yes, check www.corvettekillstories.com There will be a lot of activity there.
The One Lap site is back up. Danny's car is #4. Somehow a bastardized Viper with a carbon fiber body and a twin turbo Chevy small block got #3. Not for long though
Try to read here a couple times a day starting this Saturday May 6th.
If there is a distress call for parts, support, whatever, it may show up here... and if the racers are at your home track, your support would be GREATLY appreciated!

Bink - Love your car by the way, and yes I will be "trying" to get some daily video's up on the site.
RJ - Hey buddy, good to hear from ya'. I will actually be starting a topic today that I will link here. Obviously everything will be from either mine or Brody's perspective but I always include friends. We will certainly have pictures every day if not even more often.
Injuner - There are 7 Corvettes, 2 Ultima's with LSx hearts, 1 CTS-V, a GTO and 1 944 with an LT1
#4 Danny Popp in his 02 Z06 with alot done
#5 Karl Troy in a well built Ultima, the one many of you have seen at Roebling Road or VIR
#17 Another Ultima GTR
#19 C5 Z06
#21 GTO
#22 C5 Z06
#24 C5 Z06
#25 The Corcoran's in their LPE TT Z06
#26 Myself in a H/C 99 Coupe
#28 The LT1 944
#42 C6 Z06
#58 CTS-V
Many of the top numbers are the top drivers. Danny really should have #3 but Since Smith has won it before I guess he gets choice. I was offered #12 but have been #26 in every motorsports and athletic event nearly my whole life so I keep that number every year.
Danny is My favorite to win, or possibly Luke #6 in his STi.
DeVia in his 996TT has won 3 years in a row, Adee has more car and money then god in either his Craftsman truck or a carbon fiber Twin Turbo 100+rwhp Viper, Smith is a pro Driver, Karl Troy pushed a Diablo around the track pretty damn fast so I can just imagine what he'll do in an Ultima.
Should be a fun year!
And to everyone else who has offered their support to any Vette entry, I want to thank you very much. As I said when I started this thread the BMW crowd always seems to have a large support contingent. In fact this year they have a big tent and spread at No Problem Raceway in La. for them with lunches, ice, gatorade, water etc..
We don't need that kinda stuff but it's the sense of Community that I like to see. And hell they only have like 4 cars this year and that includes Mini's.
Joel - I know you have been a big supporter over the years and I thank you for that. I was about to take you up on the housing offer before Rudy jumped in. Thanks for your offer of assistance again this year.

Should be a real shoot-out. I don't think that there is a huge separation in driving talent among the top drivers competing, but unless they drove identical cars, we'll never know. We wouldn't want that in the One Lap anyway, the diverse unlimited modification cars is what makes that event so much fun.

Smith, DaVia, Adee, in that order. Adee could win it if his car doesn't break, but something will break somewhere that will take him out of the overall. There are going to be a dozen really fast cars this year, but I don't see any of them taking out these three.
Smith and DaVia will win, because they know how to win, between them they have won 5 times. It will take two or three years for Adee to sort out the bugs in his new ride.

Remember Danny drove the first heat at Nelson with "no" repeat "no" brakes and Ron caught him but could not pass him. In fact Ron ran faster laps the first time following Danny's line then he did the second time on his own. The first heat at IRP dan had major clutch issues and I had put dirt on the track mid corner in the back of the track.
Outside of that everytime Danny raced he won by at least a second. That's impressive. Especially as I said considering the Home track advantage of Mark in New Hampshire and the car issues. But I'm sure he'll be way outclassed this year Maybe he can be in the fast dozen at least

When Tom Reese was driving the Mosler Raptor/Intruder to consectutive wins, we would always pass him on the freeway heading to the next event. They were always driving BELOW the speedlimit. When I asked him about it, he said that he needed to save everything for the tracks. Brock finally outlawed the thing.

I was hopeful that one of the top of the top contenders was going to enter a new Z06. Because, for all intents and purposes, a totally stock 500hp fully engineered race car (with a warranty!) should be able to do verrrry well in this event. The reliability factor is a non-issue and it sure as heck can stand up to 5k miles of abuse. Oh well, maybe next year!
I think it was mentioned previously, but 500hp is about all you need to damn near win this event if you are a seriously consistent and wicked fast driver.
I hope for the sake of everyone that no one breaks anything major. Last year there were several cars lost due to major mechanical failures, and they were Top 10'ers too.
This'll really be something if Adee can pull this off in a 1000+ HP Chevy powered twin turbo small block carbon fiber bodied Viper. I just don't think Napa has those parts readily available
The Hennessey Viper of Smith has made it through, but it too has not been without it's share of on the track issues.
DaVia and his Porsche have just been wickedly consistent, fast and super reliable. He makes things appear to be almost effortless.
RAFT - The Renegade and Fast Timer... the Run a Fast Lap, the Rip and F'in Tear team. Holy jeeezus. Look out folks. This event has never seen talent like this before. For those that don't know, this is some feedback on the standings from last year in which Team RAFT placed 3rd overall:
RAFT at NHIS Beats DaVia at Home Track without ever running a hot lap there before!
RAFT at Nelson Beats Adee by 2 secs and Smith by 3 Secs!

By the way I thought you were co-driving a 96 LT4 car this year?
