Default Nicks on OEM leaf spring - reason for concern?

I replaced my OEM Z leaf springs with Hypercoils and found some nicks on the top surface of the front OEM spring. I have no idea how 9or when) it could happen given the location as mounted on the car (top of the spring facing rear).

Anyway, look at these pictures and tell me if there is any reason for concern about the nicks? I want to sell the springs with confidence.

By the way, the fibers are from the cloth I used to wipe down.

just keep an eye on them. Remember, when loaded, the tops of the springs are in compression, and the bottoms in tension. Almost all structures are stronger in compression, so you should be fine, at least for now.

I'd be much more concerned if the damage was near the bottom edge.

Thanks, I guess with that in mind I really shouldn't sell them.

no I wouldn't sell them, although I would dab a little polyester resin in and put them back on if you go back stock someday. They'll last for an eternity on a street car.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that then wrap them up and stick them down in the basement with the other stock parts I have.
