Any knowledge of folks doing a D/A conversion? Cost effective versus a Koni 2812 or Penske 8300?

My buddy just bought them today.

The fronts are the same length as stock when compressed. That's the good news.
The rears are 1/2" longer when compressed then stock ones. That's the bad news. Any car lowered more then stock height will have a bottoming problem.

They lost my business again.

Can you run a smaller bump stop to get the travel back?

Not really. The bump stop is progressive. Cutting it would change the spring rate. Besides the bump stop is about 3/4". You would have to cut 1/2" off of it. That would not work. My buddy is going to check into having the shock made shorter.

So now the option would be hybrid (new 3013 fronts with old 3013 rears)? I would think Koni will address the issue though. What have they told you about it (assuming you have contacted them)?

I bought these at Pro Parts in Canoga Park. They are a Koni dealer. We went over the measurements and we agreed that the backs were to long. They had no answer. What could they say "Koni screws up again". The old 3013's were to long too. I returned those also. All they had to do was match the stock shocks. Fronts are good. Backs are to long. These were measured on 04 Z06 shocks. The rear 06 Z06 shocks are even shorter then the 04's by a 1/4". That would make the 3013's 3/4" to long for us using the 06Z06 shocks.
