What a good looking group of cars.

IMHO these are the real gladiators of sports car racing.

Let the Battle begin.

But Go :

o.k. now that my appetite is sufficiently whetted, when exactly does the race start?
nevermind, found it. sometimes it sucks not having cable.

~9:00 AM EST

You can follow the live timing scoring all race long on the offical 24hrs site and clicking on the "chronos" link @ http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans...ccueil_gb.html

You can also listen to the race live all day/night long via Radio LeMans @ http://www.radiolemans.com/

Speed has ~18hrs of coverage.

Enjoy.

i have spent several nights listening to radiolemans. it's a good fill-in. luckily, i have found a sportsbar very near my house that has about 40 big screen t.v.s. especially in the late hours, they have no problem turning on a set to speed. i end up spending about $20-30 there by myself in food and drink. cheaper than dish or cable.
i just need to know when to go down there.

Revised Oreca-prepared Saleen S7Rs

Stéphane Ortelli says the revised aerodynamics aids in high speed corners. Saleen actually made the new rear wing which gives more downforce and less drag.

This # 54 Saleen S7R completed a 24 hour test at Paul Ricard in southern France in March.

note new rear diffuser and new wing:

Oreca used to race Viper GTS-Rs with huge success. They entered into a partnership last year with Saleen to race, service, and sell Saleen S7Rs in Europe.

i'm with everyone else. i certainly want to see the vettes win, but actually have some competition. this year should be great at le mans. the rest of the season looks pretty weak though.
why on earth doesn't GM run any corvettes in GT2?

I saw a thread over in the C6Z06 section, that all the europen corvettes have new Katech engines for the event.

5 Corvettes. Think Chevy and GM want to send a message???

P & M to go GT2 for 2008?

Finally, Corvette fans should watch the 2007 SEMA show for a 'VERY BIG' Corvette announcement.
