Default Shift ***** and Shifters?

What type is everyone using at the track? I have the Delrin **** and a Kirban, I'm not overly happy with them this last time out at Gainesville road course.

Pics of your setup would be great too.

TIA

My preference is the stock setup for roadracing.

Stock C6Z06 shifter and ****. Shorter throw than oem C5 w/o the stiff/notchy action of a Hurst, Kirban, B&M etc.

I had a Hurst for over 3 years... they're perfect for drag racing, but not so much for road racing.

I have been thinking of going to a shorter shifter. I only road race and was concerned about the aftermarket shifters.

Any issues installing the C6 Z06 shifter in the C5?

No... the shifter base and attachment is all the same. The C6Z just has a shorter and better angled lever w/ a great shift ****.

I have a C5 ZO6. Had a Hurst and didnt like it. Changed to the C6 ZO6 shifter and **** and am very happpy. My car is also a daily driver and sometimes a track rat. The C6 part was a no brainer install.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'll try the C6 shifter and report my results.

Thanks again

Hey Brad. Are you going to do a video of the shifter install and put it on your website. That would be

The biggest concern I have is taking the console off.

stock rocks.....good grip, and plenty of leverage. Short-throws all increase leverage too much for me (leverage against the driver that is)

Do you know who has the best price on the OEM C6 shifters for a C5?

Thanks in advance!

I always deal with Gene at GMPartshouse.com regardless of price. Trust is more important to me.

Brad,

Did you install C6 Z06 shifter yet?

If you did, what do you think of it.

I have the hurst right now and find it stiff and notchy even after doing the anti-venom mod.

Thanks
