In practice the 007 Aston Martin is splitting the two Vettes, with Johnny O'Connel posting a 3:49.207 for the quickest time in GT1.

One less LMP1 car

Now 54 cars instead of 55

The Zytek 07S was badly damaged on the test day. It has a 4.0 liter Zytek V-8.

http://ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php...hp&carnum=3225

The hull was touched and the car had had to be rappatriée in the workshops in England. Unfortunately, the team is also confronted with insurmountable electronic problems. Too many factors to ensure the presence of the car in track.

Default Flying Lizard team to broadcast team radio during the race

While it is a Porsche Team, they are good USA boys trying to go fast (3rd quickest in practice for GT2). They will be broadcasting/streaming their team radio throughout the race here:

Qualifying starts today, Wednesday. There is another few sessions tomorrow also.

7.00 pm to 9.00 pm: 1st qualifying practice session "24 Heures du Mans"
10 pm to midnight: 1st qualifying practice session "24 Heures du Mans"

How many hours are they ahead of us (say EST) again? 6hrs right?

So, 1pm to 3pm and 4pm to 6pm (EST) today?

If you're in the Eastern time zone you have it right. They have a DST also, but I don't even understand ours . . .

Le Mans is GMT + 1
Eastern Time is GMT - 5

#53 Lambo GT1 car runs into the wall at the first chicane and is damaged causing a red flag in this first qualifying session.

Oreca Saleen currently holding top spot in GT1, but tons of qualifying left.

I'd love to see Oreca give P&M a fight again.
