For those of you who might want to venture north to a brand new track in Canada. Note that this is the same date as the NNJR National at LRP and the Glen Region regional at WGI. Those interested should contact Richard Muise directly.

The Motorsport Club of Ottawa (MCO) is hosting a regional race weekend at a new facility, Calabogie Motorsport Park (CMP), 1 hr north of Ottawa Ontario. This will be the first race weekend at this exciting
new track. The weekend is July 27-29.
However, we are having great difficulties finding enough corner
workers. We are very close to the number required to run, but would
welcome any additional marshals in case any of the marshals we have
today cannot attend (due to sickness, family issues, etc).
MCO have rented 50 lakeside camping spots for marshals at a local
campground that is right beside a lake and about 10 minutes from the
track. We are providing breakfast, lunch and a Saturday night BBQ
blast at the track free. We will help with gas money for those that
need it. They are open to anything reasonable to help people get
there.
We will have two vintage classes, Formula-Ford, Formula Libre, Formula
1200 and two sedan classes running this weekend. The track itself is
quite technical, designed by the same designer as Barber, Miller,
BeaveRun and Mount Tremblant parks.

We will also be hosting an event at Calabogie September 29th. Our event will use the east track.
From everything we've read, it is a nice track. Groups that have been there say the track is technical, and will take a few sessions to figure out, but it is well laid out and fun.

PS. Details on our track day can be found at www.3ballsracing.com

I just got back from Calabogie. What a track!!! We ended up running the whole track, and it was worth the drive from Detroit. The track didn't have the runoff room I expected, but the layout was unbelievable. The track management was first rate, as was the safety equipment. They are still missing some basic amenities, but they said that stuff would be in place by next season (air station, fuel station, dedicated bathrooms and showers). There is a professional photographer on site that not only takes great shots from around the track, but also from above using a plane. If you get a chance to run this course with any group, I would suggest it.
