Spin with Tracmate at CMP Kink
http://blip.tv/file/365434/ Here is a link to see what it looks like to spin a ZR-1 off the track at over 100mph through the Kink at CMP.
Both the car and my daughter were ok and she was back out lapping later in the day although about 10mph slower through the Kink!

We were at a NCCC High Speed Autocross event put on by the Carolina Region of NCCC. We were sharing the track with the local Turn-One Group doing a HPDE.
She did all the right things, two foot rule, did not try to over correct, even forced the spin to dodge a tire wall she was headed for.
Most proud of the way she got back on the horse that threw her.

There was a guy there working with the local Turn One Group putting on the HPDE. He just let us rent the quipment for our sessions too.
I think he was with WWW.at-the-track.com but not sure it was a cash deal.

It does not show on the vid too well but when she went through that little shallw ditch sideways she did GET SOME LIFT, about a foot to be exact! My A$$ was puckering pretty bad seeing that part of the slide from the pits!
Do you think she lifted in the Kink or should have lifted more before the Kink?

On an other note: exiting the pits, stay to the left, that is the what the blend line is for, never cross that blend line. and between T7 and T8 that long back semi-straight, do NOT stay to the left side of the track. If you cut into just right of center mid way down, then back to the left just prior to the brake zone of T8 you save 55-70 feet of track, which is at least a full second per lap. Dont go all the way right as there is too much road clagg over there.

All in all she did a good job, didn't stall the car,stayed calm, drove it back to the pits, & tried again later.
On another note, send my thanks to Bill for letting me drive his ZR-1. Man that was fun & I think Bill enjoyed it too. I also enjoyed riding along w/Bill,Cindy, & Greg. Hopefully I was able to help them but either way I was enjoying the ride.

We should have got you in the car with her after the spin but you were having too much fun making Bill scream like a school girl and wet his pants in his ZR-1
