Dan's fast... everyone else isn't, what else is there??

Somebody in a C6 Z06 hit the track tow vehicle under caution... how do you do that?

FTD by RAFT of 1:28:04 (no chicane all weekend)

Was that a Dark Blue Z?

NASA uses HOT PULL, or local YELLOW / WHITE , seldom full course yellows.

Whoever it was, the incident was akin to the after the checker hit at the Pocono National a month ago.

When you're racing at this level, how in the world do you miss a caution. Then, hit the tow vehicle!?!?

Maybe, maybe not - it did occur on his first lap, first practice session I heard. I have seen many cars hit cars off the track or cars spun into the line - not sure it is comparable - not enough data to judge that I have seen/heard. The tow truck was picking up a vehicle - since you are convicting - was the track slick from any oil or coolant? Was the truck in the line after a blind corner? How soon was the local flag flown before the incident? Was it waving? Was a UFO sited?

The C6 may have screwed up beyond belief, was just plain unlucky or made a few lapses that bit him hard. Facts and timelines are used to convict or assess penalties....

The NASA fatality at Mid Ohio was a local yellow also I believe...maybe procedures and track layout are an issue.

It does sound bad to hit a tow truck under a yellow though....

Racing at what level? You consider Nasa TT high level? Anyone can go out and run NASA TT, then just participate in enough events, and you can attend the championships.

Hey, I resemble that remark - there are some who are not ready for it that play in the field though...

The psychology of running in a National Championships can destroy the moral of the strongest of ppl.

The Fastest car has little to do with the strongest personal constitution and desire to win the National Champioships

the RAFT team had ultimate success again today. Did anyone doubt it ?

Dan WON the ST1 race. He started 12th behind eleven "SU" cars (super unlimited) and finished 4th overall with the 2nd fastest lap time of the race behind an SR8 Radical.

Dan STILL has the TT title locked up for TTU as well as the fastest overall TT time for the weekend.

Dan has turned the fastest single lap of any car all weekend.

TTU is not "racing"--also supposedly the driver behind Ed says there was no flag. I would recommend knowing what happened before making a statement like "Whoever it was, the incident was akin to the after the checker hit at the Pocono National a month ago." As far as I know, it was practice, the first lap, only Ed's car and the tow truck were damaged and no one was injured.

I wasn't there, but I would go out on the track any day with Ed and not worry about him knowingly doing something stupid or taking a chance that could affect another car or driver.

In any event, let's wait and find out what happened before we liken it to the "Pocono" event.

Blasting people without knowing the details is plain stupid, and if your werent on track or heard from someone who was on track at the time, then you can shutup. Or at least maintain a level of respect for someones misfortune, flags arent always on time. Let's hear from someone who knows what they are talking about before we make a judgement.

Could someone see how my buddy Geff Sawtelle is doing in TTS car #222 Black 03 Mallett. I've looked at the live scoring but it doesn't tell you the fastest laps for the TT cars.

TIA
Joel
