Default One Lap 08 updates

We just finished the wet skid pad. I believe we were 7th or 8th when we left. The best wet skid pad Danny or I have ever run. For those that don't know we are running a Mongoose GTP with an LS7 and C5 suspension specificly Pfadt coil overs and sway bars with VBP bushings. We (myself and Danny Popp) are in car number 3. Jon K and his Dad are in another Mongoose number 4. Ours is the yellow one and Jon is in the Bronze car. I'm certain there must me pics floating around because every other car we pass is taking pictures. These really are beautiful cars.

We are currently working our way through downtown Chicago on our way to Road America. To run there this evening before heading to Mid-America to run tomorrow.

You can get results on the one lap page at www.onelapofamerica.com

I will update at each track with quicker results then will be available on there, for the corvette teams and the front runners.

I do want to thank all the people that came by the Tire Rack to show their support and especially Luke from the tirerack for all his help.

More to come, hard to type on these damn roads in this wild ride were in.

Good luck guys. Keep it running and I'm sure you'll place quite well.

Are you doing any driving Jeremy, or are you transit only this year?

In an attempt to win, Danny will be driving all the tracks. Neil (Z3 breadbox) was kind enough to make the never thought you would be a "transit bit*h" comment. But it is what it is. An to help Danny, and the Mongoose folks, I'm ok with it. Plus I get to see a lot of friends.

Brody if you could do me a favor, and post a link to the 08 results page once it's up. I can't click the tab from my Blackberry, but can open any link.

As a side note when we left the Tire Rack Dan Cocoran was just one spot behind us, and the other Mongoose was just one or two spots behind him. Leh Keen in the Caymen GTr was a solid first and the #2 Viper had a POOR showing.

Thanks!

Jeremy

We are running 2nd overall.
Jon and Ray are 19th. We both had some issues at RA but still managed a 5th place.

The Viper put on a clinic and dominated but after a poor showing in the skid pad is behind us.

I think the vipers always suck on the wet skid pad and then slowly start reeling people in.

I take that back, it seems the hennessey viper from last year won the skid pad. Well, at least that put them in a hole.

Brian Smith did well on the wet skidpad (and wet at Mid America) in the Viper last year.

Being the transit bitch on the potential winning car isn't all bad, right? Everybody knows who Drew is.

Looks like I got scooped on the links. Are you guys running with Jon between events? I know you and Jon have different theories on transit driving.

I just saw the RA results.

Was Jon having any trouble?

What sort of power is the #2 Viper making? It sure gapped the whole field out there.

Take this post back too, the results I saw had some names backwards. The defending champ may have beaten the ACR had he not blown a MAF.

Says he pulled the ACR on the straights (should have less hp by a good bit). Which at Road America there are a lot of them.

Brody, both cars are having some teething issues. Ours substancially more so then Jon's, but we are getting them sorted. We packed a lot, just not race pads (another story) or a welder and steel. Dan had no rear brakes, the passenger door kept opening and he would have to reach across down all the straights to close it, and he hed to contend with passing Leh in the Caymen. On the exit of the chicahe before Kettle bottoms. While worrying about overheating as we had a relay short out from a rather wet and wild ride. Through chicago.

But the cars are very capable, with proper sorting.

So you are saying it is pretty much a standard session for Danny?

Hope you are up and at them at Mid-America - hopefully it is not flooded today!

Looks like they failed to update title page, from 2007 to 2008.......but Drivers and cars seem accurate for 2008 ->
